A Stock step at Ruislip (Metropolitan Line).  This step is at the same station as shown in here for 1973 Tube Stock but the step is up from the platform to the train because this is surface stock. The platform is lower than the floor of a surface stock train because the platform has to accommodate both tube and surface stock trains.  The platform height is at a compromise level half way between the two floor levels.  The difference between the two is about 30 cms or 1 foot.  This gives a 6 inch step up or down.
